Bard has long been known as an innovator and risk taker in the field of international higher education. The College’s international education programs are built upon meaningful partnerships grounded in mutuality and equality. Our groundbreaking study away programs, located in New York City and in regions undergoing rapid political and economic transformation, continue this tradition.
Institute for International Liberal Education
The Institute for International Liberal Education (IILE) and CCE work in close coordination to develop and promote international partnerships in liberal education and civil society. The partnerships and exchange programs hosted through IILE serve Bard students as well as students from other U.S. higher education institutions and from abroad.
