According to reporting from Chronogram and News10, the two-acre campus will include classrooms, arts and media studios, a learning kitchen, event space, and outdoor areas designed for ecological education and community gatherings. For more than a decade, Kite’s Nest has offered youth programs rooted in environmental justice, creative expression, and civic engagement — and the new campus will significantly increase its capacity.
For the Bard community, the project highlights how state and local funding can support long-term investments in youth leadership and climate education. It also opens future opportunities for collaboration, internships and community-based learning just across the river.
